Privacy Policy for Torado

Last updated: 17 September 2026

Torado is a photo gallery app for Android. It is built to work on your device, with your own photos, and it does not send those photos or anything about them to anyone. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. This policy explains what stays on your device and the one thing the app does reach out to the internet for.

This policy applies to the Torado app (package com.torado.app), published by Sebastian Frankenberger, a single independent developer.

The short version

Photos and files on your device

Torado reads the photos and videos in your device's media library so it can show them to you. It uses Android's standard media access, which requires your permission the first time. Depending on your Android version, you may be asked to grant access to all photos, or to select particular ones.

Everything Torado does with your media happens on your device:

Your settings, tags, playlists and bin contents are stored in Torado's own private storage on the device. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

I have no access to any of this. There is no Torado account, no cloud sync and no server I operate. Nothing described in this section is transmitted anywhere.

Purchases

Torado Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. The transaction is handled entirely by Google. I never see or receive your payment details — not your card number, not your name, not your billing address.

The app asks Google Play whether this device's Google account owns Torado Pro, and stores the answer — a single yes or no — in its own private storage on the device, so that the Pro features work without needing to ask again every time. That answer contains nothing about who you are.

Purchases are tied to your Google account, so reinstalling Torado or moving to a new device restores Pro automatically. Google's Privacy Policy covers its processing of the payment itself.

What is collected, at a glance

Settings, tags, bin Nobody — stays on device To remember how you like the app Everyone
Purchase status Google Play To process and verify the Pro purchase Anyone who buys Pro

Your rights

Because I hold no data about you, there is nothing for me to export, correct or erase on request. The only data leaving your device is your Google Play purchase, processed by Google as described above; Google is the controller for that processing, and you can exercise your rights directly with Google through its Privacy Policy.

If you are in the EEA or UK, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Torado itself holds nothing to which those rights could attach.

To remove everything Torado stores on your device, uninstall the app or clear its data in Settings → Apps → Torado → Storage.

Children

Torado is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect any data from children. The app is rated for a general audience and contains no content intended for children.

Security

Your photos and Torado's own data stay within the app's private storage and Android's media store, protected by the operating system's own sandboxing. Because nothing is transmitted to me, there is no server of mine that could be breached.

Changes to this policy

If Torado gains a feature that changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
